Lil Wayne was in attendence at the Heat game the other night when they played the Atlanta Hawks. After the game, Lil' Wayne went off saying the following about LeBron and Wade:

“Them n*ggas never speak to a n*gga,” he says. “They don’t chuck me the deuce or nothing. N*gga spent all that money on them f*cking tickets… Come holla at me. We sit right by them little b*tch-ass n*ggas. At least come ask me why I’m not rooting for you.”

Is Melo Getting Traded Or Not?

I just checked some sports websites as I typically do in the morning, and I came across yet again, the same rumor that has been floating around for like 2 years now. Carmelo is going to the Knicks, Carmelo is staying in Denver, Carmelo is going to the Nets. Noww...it seems imminent that the 3 team blockbuster trade should be completed by this week. Thats bullshit, I dont believe it. They have been saying that for the past 2 months. Shits getting old Melo...stay the hell in Denver..no one wants more power in the East.

On another note, Boston plays the Magic tonight. Make sure you tune in to watch them shit on Dwight Howard.

Guess it's been on the real estate listings for a while but Ferris Buellers house from the famous movie "Ferris Buellers Day Off" is up for sale. It's a pretty sick house out in some forest in Chicago. The thing that I don't get is why someone like Kanye hasn't jumped on this shit yet? Free Eddie House!

If any of you watched the Heat game against the Denver Nuggets last night, you would see that they were holding Eddie House captive on the bench, and have been doing it all season. I'm not sure if Erik Spoelstra knows this, but E.Casa is lights out from the 3....maybe we should make Spoelstra head coach of the All NBA Retard Team. Regardless...it took a early blowout from the Nuggets in order to get Eddie some minutes last night. And as you can see from the box score (below)....HE NEEDS MORE MINUTES! Mike Miller played twice as many minutes as House did and scored 11 points less than him. Doesn't that show you something Erik Spoelstra? you dumbass....but then again, do we expect anything less from the Miami Heat? FREE EDDIE HOUSE!

Here at Fresh etc, we're big fans of the NBA. Like most basketball fans, you hope to see your favorite player succeed during the year, and be rewarded for it, whether its make the All-star team, All NBA First Team or win a championship. Well, having watched many a games of NBA basketball, we have seen that there is more to players than just how they play. Their appearance, character, and abilities all make up the player that they are. Starting today, we will putting together different groups of "All NBA First Team's" for all kinds of different things. For example, we may have the "Inked Up All-NBA First Team," or the "Best PE Sneakers All-NBA First Team." We will fill each position with a player that fulfills the requirements of each specific team.

For our first installment of this occasional post, we will be bringing you the "High All The Time All-NBA First Team." Enjoy.

NBA x Marvel x New Era

In an interesting attempt at collaboration, several NBA teams will be teaming up with Marvel and New Era to release a series of team-colored inspired, superhero hats.  One version of the hat designates each team their own hero.  The second version has a collage of all the superheroes in the collab.  These hats are pretty dope.  You know I'm copping the Celtics one.  Look out for these to release in April.

Playoff Game 1: New England Patriots vs. New York Jets

On January 16, the New England Patriots will be taking on the NY Jets. The trash talking has already begun as you see from the photo below, Braylon Edwards (WR for the NY Jets) has tweeted to "let New England know we are coming." Um, buddy, did you forget what happened last game? 45-3 ring a bell? Yeah..thought so. Oh well, make sure you tune in at 4pm next Sunday to watch the showdown.

Gortat=Jordan?

Gortat is probably the best player in the NBA. Not talent wise, more or less because of everything else. His name is Marcin Gortat, he is Polish, his nickname is the Polish Hammer.....I could go on for days. Sometime last year, when he was signed to a small contract with Reebok, he was notified by them to cover up one of his tattoos. Why? Because his tattoo was a depiction of the infamous Jordan Jumpman logo (aka Reeboks rival). Gortat basically told Reebok to screw off with this quote.

"They called and said I had to do something about it, but that ain’t going to happen,’ Gortat said after Tuesday morning’s workout. ‘I’ve been wearing it 4-5 years now, and it helped me get to the NBA. They didn’t say anything about it when I signed the contract, so it’s not going anywhere. I don’t think they are paying me enough to take it off. I’ve heard from other people that even other players, if they don’t know my name, they know I’m the big white guy with the Jordan tattoo,’ he said. ‘I like that. Reebok will have to get used to that."

Nash leaves Nikes, Signs with Luyou

7 time all star and 2 time MVP, Steve Nash has reportedly left his 15 year shoe deal with Nike to sign with a very unpopular brand from China called "Luyou." Nash is following the trend of many players from the NBA signing with overseas brands such as Baron Davis, Evan Turner, Hasheen Thabeet and Shaquille O'Neal with "Li-Ning," Kevin Garnett with "Anta," and Jason Kidd and Jason Richardson with "Peak." This trend of Asian brands signing these popular NBA athletes shows how forceful their market penetration is becoming in the US.  I, for one, am not too fond of any of their PE shoe designs, but who knows...maybe one day they will create a shoe that catches on and blows up here in the US too.

Regardless, I'm sure Slam will deliver a great piece on him. Slam Magazine is my favorite sports magazine out there.  Okay, so this is a quote with the "unofficial" list of participants for this years NBA Dunk Contest during All Star Weekend 2011.

"Blake Griffin will be a part of next month's slam dunk contest at All-Star Weekend, according to sources.

Joining Griffin will be Washington's JaVale McGee, Oklahoma City's Serge Ibaka and Milwaukee's Brandon Jennings, according to the Los Angeles Times."

Hold on...JaVale McGee? He is like the retarded version of Dwight Howard. And Brandon Jennings? he is like 5' 11" - it will be like watching Rondo in a dunk contest... I'll give Serge some credit though, just because with a Name like Serge Ibaka you should be able to throw some nasty dunks down.

Style Wars

For those of you who have never heard of Style Wars, it is a documentary which was filmed in the early 80's capturing the roots of hip hop, graffiti, and overall lifestyle of that era. This documentary goes in detail about how the graffiti scene exploded in the inner cities and showed how the artists got down back in the day. It really is a dope film, and it makes me wish I was a teenager back in the 80's. In my opinion, their care-free 80's lifestyles, and being alive during the prime of real hip hop would top watching 90's Nickelodeon any day...

Not to mention, if you've ever heard of the song Respiration from Blackstar & Common - the first two people talking in the song is an excerpt from the film. Its two young graffiti artists talking about the pieces they did on the NYC trains the previous night.

Oh man. Are my ears deceiving me? Did Eli Porter just dissed 50 Tyson? He did. He did! HE DID! The battle of the century has officially begun. Bigger than Jay-z and Nas. Bigger than East Coast vs. West Coast. Bigger than Kanye vs. Taylor Swift! Now we gotta pick sides. Who you got? Even though 50 was nice in that first video, Eli Porter is da best mayne.

They may have absolutely no economy, but what they do have is PASSION, and that's all that matters right? I have said this before, and I say it now, the atmosphere of these soccer games in Europe is unmatched by any sporting events here in America. Not that NFL games and college basketball games don't have good atmosphere, but games in Europe are pure mayhem. Watch the video, listen to the chants, the fans, the support, and of course, the paper storm, and ask yourself if you support any team like that.

His art is not the typical kind of graffiti that you may see on walls and subway train, but more original, and sends messages to whoever reads it. Ray Allen Air Jordan 11 PE

One of the best things about HD TV is the clarity of the picture allows you to notice things you may not have noticed with a regular D. This applies perfectly when you are trying to see what sneakers basketball players are wearing. I usually see and can name most of the player's sneakers, but somehow, I missed this one. To tell you the truth, I am angered by the fact that I missed them. I'm talking about Ray Allen's Air Jordan 11 PE. This may be the best shoe I have seen all year. Definitely the best Air Jordan PE and an even better way to end 2010. I wouldn't expect any less from Ray Allen. The greatest shooter in the game can't be rocking some wack ass sneakers. The only problem with these is that no one will ever be able to get to hands (feet?) on them besides Ray Ray. If these ever released to the public, I would be first in line for them without a doubt.
