Big Monday

Today is a big day in the hip-hop/rnb game, release wise.  Several albums from some big names, and some not so big names (yet), dropping today.  We got the likes of Kanye, Nicki Minaj, Lloyd Banks and more with albums releasing today. Hit the jump for pics and info on all the albums.  Maybe it will help you decide with album you are going to buy, if any.
Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Kanye's highly anticipated album is finally here.  Preceded by a short film, tons of publicity, leaked tracks and 5 different album covers, MBDTW definitely lives up to all the hype.  This is definitely some of Kanye's best work, and don't worry, this album is not all auto-tuned out.  Hits like "Power" and "Monster" have been being played on the radio for a while now, but don't sleep on the other tracks.  Many people have downloaded this album from last week, but I would definitely recommend purchasing this album, because you never know what Kanye may have switched up or added.

Nicki Minaj's debut album "Pink Friday" also releases today.  The Queen of Young Money has had her fellow Barbie's anxiously anticipating her first album.  Nicki spits some nice verses on most of these tracks, and with the help of people like Kanye, Drake and others, this is definitely a good way for Nicki to start off her album career.  Definitely take a look at this project, it's actually pretty good.  Plus, Nicki Minaj is super fine.

Next up, my man Lloyd Banks.  After the disappointment of his previous album, Big Apple, Lloyd Banks almost quit the game.  Lucky for all his fans, he didn't, and come back strong with The Hunger for More 2.  The Hunger for More 1 was good, and this album is good, too.  G-g-g-g-unit!
For the people who check out this blog post, this may be the one artist you don't know. If you have never heard of Yelawolf, I would highly recommend checking this dude out.  Don't be phased by the color of his skin, because he can rap. He probably has one of the illest flows I've ever heard.  His southern-influenced, bass heavy beats bump like crazy, and like I said, his raps are ill too.  This will probably be the second album I'm going to buy today, 'cuz Yelawolf is nice.
Currensy drops his second major album today, entitled Pilot Talk II.  I like Currensy, but I haven't heard too much about this project.  If you're a Currensy fan, or a pot smoker, this album is probably for you.  I can imagine there are probably some dope songs, though.
Lastly, we have Ne-yo.  Honestly, I haven't heard much about this album either.  I don't listen to the radio any more, so I don't know what Ne-yo is up to.  Most likely made up of some slow jams and techno/club songs, this album might have some potential.  Check it out, let me know how it goes.

So, which album are you going to buy today?

*Fresh etc. does not condone the illegal downloading of albums.  Support your favorite artists, whether it's buying an entire album or just one song.  Most of these artists give us enough free music; don't be cheap, and buy something for once, so they can afford to keep giving us the free stuff.
